Kelsey Shum is a Paralegal, who graduated with an LLB from the University of York in July 2025. She works closely with the firm’s solicitors to provide day-to-day support across a range of family law matters, including domestic abuse, child arrangements and care proceedings.
She plays an active role in client-facing work, taking instructions, providing updates, and drafting legal communications. She supports solicitors throughout court proceedings, and assists barristers through clerking and brief preparation. Her responsibilities also include reviewing and analysing case documents, identifying key issues, and managing administrative tasks.

Her academic journey has been complemented by hands-on legal experience in both chambers and law firms including mini pupillages, internships, and participation in advocacy training initiatives. Her dedication to accessible justice is reflected in her involvement with community-based initiatives including volunteering at a university legal advice clinic and serving on the committee of a legal charity.

Kelsey is particularly interested in gaining greater experience in family law matters, and is committed to supporting clients through complex and often emotionally sensitive legal proceedings.
