We provide an initial 15 minutes consultation when we can discuss your matter to get an understanding of your case and how we can assist. We can outline the possible options available to you, and the fee structure for your matter. We will also consider if we have the capacity to take on your matter.

We have a contract with the Legal Aid Agency to provide Legal aid in certain cases.

For care proceedings a parent with parental responsibility will automatically be eligible for legal aid. and private law proceedings.

For some public law matters and private law – (child arrangement order cases), You may be eligible for legal aid, and you will need to provide (a)gateway evidence of domestic abuse and (b)details of your welfare benefits and last 3 months bank statement to confirm your income. The legal aid application will be subject to means and merits assessment. If successful, the legal aid agency will confirm if they will cover the full funding certificate or the individual may need to pay a contribution towards their legal aid certificate.

We can offer a fixed fee for specific work on your matter, such as preparing statements, applications or for advocacy and representation at a hearing. We will consider the documents to go through, time and work to be undertaken, the complexity and urgency of your matter. We will provide a clear estimate and expected fees. The fixed fee for different stages of your matter will be expected to be paid before we commence working on your matter.

If you require us to assist you on your matter from beginning to end, we can offer an hourly rate payment scheme. The rate will be based on the experience of the solicitor working on your case, the amount of work and time spent and complexity on your matter. Hourly rates will be discussed at your initial consultation.
